🧩 Modes & Scoring Explained
TypingFix offers three exciting typing test modes to boost your keyboard skills:
- Story Mode: Practice with real-life paragraphs to enhance speed and accuracy.
- Words Mode: Build raw typing speed with random words.
- Numbers Mode: Perfect for developing fast numeric typing, ideal for data entry and productivity.
Only your highest WPM from any mode and language will be featured on the leaderboard. If your best scores are 54 WPM (English) and 34 WPM (Hindi), the English score will be shown, as it’s your highest record.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Raw WPM is just how fast you can hit the keyboard keys. It doesn’t care if you typed stuff wrong, it just counts the speed. So, even if you mess up a lot, Raw WPM still looks high. It’s kind of like saying, “I finished the race fast!”... even if you ran in the wrong direction.
WPM, though, is what actually matters. It looks at how fast you typed and how accurate you were. So if you typed super quick but made a bunch of mistakes, your WPM will be lower — because it’s only counting the words you typed correctly.
In short:
- Raw WPM = Just speed
- WPM = Speed + Accuracy
If you're trying to improve your typing speed, then focus on both WPM + Accuracy. Take our free typing test to check your speed.
Click on any bold name in the leaderboard to open that user’s public profile, where you can view their typing level, top scores, and stats. Non-clickable names mean the user hasn’t enabled public visibility.
The leaderboard creates a cache mostly for 10 minutes, so whenever a user completes a test, it will take at least 10 minutes to update.
At the moment, scores submitted to the leaderboard are recorded to maintain fair competition and transparency. However, wish to hide your result for privacy reasons, you can contact our us or manage visibility from your account settings (if available). We’re working on giving users more control over their data, including leaderboard visibility.
