Our Story

How TypingFix Started

TypingFix began with a simple observation: most typing websites only solved part of the problem.

Some platforms measured typing speed but provided little guidance for improvement. Others focused entirely on lessons but offered limited insight into real-world performance.

Many typing platforms were also heavily focused on English, leaving multilingual users with inconsistent experiences and limited support.

The goal became clear: build a platform where users could test, learn, practice, analyze weaknesses, and improve over time instead of simply collecting scores.

Why We Exist

Why TypingFix Exists

TypingFix was created around a simple idea: typing is more than just a speed test, but most typing websites focus on only one part of the experience.

Someone may need one website to check typing speed, another to learn touch typing, another to practise coding, and yet another to track progress or understand mistakes. We wanted to bring these related activities together in one place.

The goal is not simply to put more features on one website. The goal is to create a connected typing platform where different tools can support different parts of the same skill journey.

You can take a quick typing test, practise a specific skill, work on difficult keys, learn touch typing, test your coding speed, track your results, or earn a record of a completed test — without having to move between multiple unrelated platforms.

Our Approach

How We Build

We try to build each tool around a clear purpose.

A typing test should measure performance clearly.
A tutor should help people practise progressively.
Analytics should help identify what needs improvement.
A certificate should be an honest record of a completed result rather than an accreditation claim.

As TypingFix grows, the same approach continues to guide the platform: build useful typing tools that work together, explain results clearly, and support more than one way of learning and practising.

TypingFix's core tools can be used without creating an account, while an optional account helps you save results and track longer-term progress.

What Makes Us Different

Beyond Simple Typing Tests

Performance Beyond WPM

TypingFix focuses on speed, accuracy, consistency, and typing behavior instead of showing a single WPM score.

Learning-Oriented Design

Every tool is designed to help users improve, not simply generate numbers.

Multilingual Focus

We believe typing is a global skill and continue expanding support across languages and scripts.

Continuous Evolution

Improvements are driven by testing, research, feedback, and community contributions.

Jiaping Chien

Early Contributor

Jiaping Chien was one of the earliest contributors to the project.

His feedback played an important role in improving multilingual typing support, particularly for Chinese, Korean, and Japanese language input systems.

Through testing, observations, and detailed feedback, he helped identify language-specific challenges and improve the overall experience for users typing in East Asian languages.

We sincerely appreciate his contribution to the early development of TypingFix.

Who Runs TypingFix

Vishal Parvat

Founder & Developer

TypingFix is an independent platform founded, built and maintained by Vishal Parvat. It is not backed by a large company — it is a product made by a developer who wanted typing practice and measurement to be genuinely free, accurate and available in the language you actually type in.

Vishal designs and maintains the whole platform: the typing-test engine, the WPM/accuracy scoring, the practice and certificate tools, the multilingual experience across 55+ languages, and the performance tracking behind your dashboard and public profile.

We keep ownership transparent on purpose — you should always know who runs the site that stores your typing history, and who is responsible for how your data is handled.
